The KT-9550 multifunctional test system is the first of a series of standard test systems for use in the automotive industry and for electronic testing. The KT-9550 system is a PXI-based system with diverse configuration options and is available as a manual test system and as an in-line system for electronic production. Modular measuring instruments in PXI form factor, complex switching matrices with 4 or 8 buses, a 6.5 digit digital multimeter and a 16-bit M series multifunctional card from National Instruments form the core of the system. Functionality can be expanded with several functional blocks:

• arbitrary curve generator
• isolated digital I/O with programmable voltage levels
• DC and AC sources (several per system)
• automotive option with CAN bus, K Line, Most, FlexRay
• serial protocols, such as I2C
• KT-ICT with guarding amplifier
• optical inspection (component presence, polarity, solder joint test, display test, etc.)
• switching concept for signals up to 1000V or 40A via a modular subsystem
• virginia Panel UUT/DUT interface G12 QuadraPaddle
• interface to production management systems

Upon request of the customer the system can be adapted to the respective requirements. Other hardware interfaces and measuring technology components can be integrated in the system. System control is accomplished either with an embedded PXI controller or with an external PC coupled via an MXI-4 interface. The test software is, like the test software in all other test systems from Konrad Technologies, standardized and based on the NI TestStand test sequencer and the easy-to-configure test steps developed in NI LabVIEW. The KT-9550 test system makes a considerable reduction of the test costs possible while improving the performance and the simplicity of utilization of the system simultaneously.
